The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, will be conducting the 9th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on the 21st of February, 2016, Sunday. This exam is conducted for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes 1st to 8th. It is conducted twice in a year, in the months of February and July. CBSE CTET Feb 2016 Exam Notification Details:
CBSE CTET 2016 application form has been made available from the 4th of December, 2015. One can apply online for CTET 2016 exam. The submission of online forms can be made till the 28th December, 2015. The entire schedule for the CTET 2016 exam has been made available on the CTET website: www.ctet.nic.in. Forms can also be found on this website and online submissions can also be made here.
Procedure to Apply CBSE CTET Feb 2016 Application Form:
- Submission of online application – 04.12.15-28.12.15
- Last date of submission of fee through e-challan or credit/debit card – 29.12.15 till 3.30 pm.
- Check for final status of candidates who submitted the fee – 30.12.15
- Corrections in online forms/particulars – 30.12.15 to 04.01.2016. No changes shall be made after these dates.
- Availability of admit card online on the CTET website – 25.01.2016.
CBSE CTET Feb 2016 exam notification is also available on the CTET website, for the convenience of the candidates. The exam will be conducted from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. It will consist of two papers. As per the notice issued by CBSE, Paper-II will be conducted in the first half i.e. from 9.30 am to 12 pm. After a break of two hours, the exam will be resumed with Paper-I from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.
Before filling the CBSE CTET Feb 2016 application form, the candidate should be sure of the eligibility criteria for appearing for the exam. To apply for the exam, any candidate should have a degree of B.Ed in the relevant field.

The applicability of the exam is on all government schools (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.). It also applies to schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi. Others such as unaided private school may or may not choose to consider the CTET exam for the appointment of teachers. It is not mandatory for them. State Governments have the option of conducting CTET or TET (Teacher Eligibility Test).
