UPSC IAS Prelims Exam Pattern Syllabus 2016:
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is responsible for holding examinations so as to recruit candidates for several government posts. One of such examinations is CSAT. The CSAT is held every year for the posts of civil services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The exam is carried out in two stages, the preliminary exam and the main exam. The candidates who successfully clear both of these exams will qualify the recruitment.
The Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) includes two papers, each of 200 marks. The questions asked will be of multiple-choice format, and will be related to the following fields:
- Paper I: General Studies
- Paper II: General Ability
The question paper in the preliminary exam will be available in both, Hindi and English. The applicants who succeed in qualifying the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear in the main exam.
